MSD Decatur Celebrates Chris Duzenbery and the Completion of Her Ed.D.
On April 25, 2016, Chris Duzenbery, Director of College and Career Readiness for the MSD of Decatur Township, defended her doctoral dissertation with Oakland City University, thus completing her Doctorate in Education. Dr. Duzenbery’s dissertation focused on the use of formative assessments and student achievement.
“We are extremely proud of Dr. Duzenbery, and the completion of her Ed.D. As a district, we are pleased that our staff can model the high level of achievement that we expect from our students. We look forward to incorporating Dr. Duzenbery’s research in the development of teaching and learning in Decatur Township Schools,” Said Dr. Prusiecki, superintendent of Decatur Township Schools.
Dr. Duzenbery began her career with the MSD of Decatur Township as a science teacher in 1990. She has held various positions including Director of the Decatur Enrichment Center, Assistant Principal for Student Services at Decatur Central High School and Director of the School of Quest and Inquiry at Decatur Central High School. In 2014, she became the Director of College and Career Development for the entire MSD of Decatur Township.
Dr. Duzenbery will continue her work as the Director of College and Career Readiness with the MSD of Decatur Township. In addition to this work, she is considering teaching as an adjunct instructor with Oakland City University.
