Graduation Pathways
The path to graduation is not a one-size-fits-all. Indiana provides many pathways for students to earn a high school diploma. Students starting with the Class of 2023 and beyond must meet of the following criteria in order to graduate. Students must complete at least one item from each "bucket" in order to graduate.
Credits
Students must complete enough credits toward one of Indiana Department of Education's high school diplomas. One of the following must be met:
- Core 40 - minimum of 40 credits
- Academic Honors - minimum of 47 credits
- Technical Honors - minimum of 47 credits
- General
Learn & Demonstrate Employability Skills
Students must demonstrate an experience in at least one of the following employability skills:
- Project Based Learning Experience
- Service-Based Learning Experience
- Work-based Learning Experience
Postseoncary-Ready Competencies
**Must meet at at least one of these comptencies:
Honors Diploma/Designation
- Academic or Technical
SAT

Score the following or higher
Reading/Writing - 480
Math - 530
ACT
- 2 out of 4 needed with at least one in English/Reading and one in Math/Science
English - 18
Reading - 22
Math - 22
Science - 23
Industry Certification
- Certifcation from approved DWD list
Apprenticeship
Career & Technical Education (CTE) Concentrator
- C average or higher in at least 2 advanced high school courses in a state-approved CTE pathway
AP/IB/Dual Credit/ Cambridge International/CLEP
- C average or higher in 3 courses
- 1 of the 3 courses must be in core content area or all three must be part of a CTE pathway
