FAFSA (Financial Aid) Support
All Seniors in the class of 2025 will need to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) by April 15th, 2025. The FAFSA is a form completed by students in order to receive financial aid with college, trade school, or other post-secondary opportunities. Even if you do not have your plans for after graduation confirmed, the FAFSA needs to be completed to keep your options open.
Your counseling team is here to provide support for the process!
The first step is to create a Federal Student Aid Account (FSA ID):
- Go to studentaid.gov and click “Create account” then “Get started.”
- Enter your Name, Date of Birth, and Social Security Number.
- Username: Choose something you will remember and hasn’t already been taken.
- Email: must be personal and unique to the individual creating the ID. DO NOT USE YOUR SCHOOL EMAIL.
- Password- choose something you will remember that meets the criteria.
- Enter your mailing address, city, state, and zip code.
- Enter the mobile phone number of the individual creating the ID. It is recommended that you check the box which allows you to use your mobile phone for account recovery.
- Select your communications preferences: email is required and informal communications are optional. Select your language preference.
- Challenge Questions: You must select and answer all four questions according to the criteria.

Important Information to Note:
- We highly recommend that you use the FAFSA Checklist to document all usernames, passwords, and other account information. You will use this later to complete the FAFSA and in future years if you attend post-secondary college or other schools.
- The student should create his/her account first, then invite the parent(s) or “contributor(s)” to complete.
- Once you create an account, it takes 3-5 business days for it to be activated.
