The Gold Academy is Decatur Proud to announce that Mrs. Chris McGathey, 6th Grade Teacher, is the Gold Academy Teacher of the Year for 2016-17! Mrs. McGathey works hard to make Gold Academy a great place to attend and work. She strives to be a better educator and example for students and co-workers each and every day. Beyond the classroom, Mrs. McGathey organizes many fundraisers at our school for worthy causes in the community. She is also a member of the High Ability Committee, and serves as a DEA Representative. Congratulations, Mrs. McGathey!
