About the School
Gold Academy Information:
Located on 44 acres of land termed, “The Richard G. Lugar Educational Complex”, the Decatur Elementary Learning Center opened in the fall of 2010. The complex has two academies serving students in grades KG-6. The Gold Academy focuses on the development of the primary elementary learner, as well as the intermediate elementary learner. The average enrollment for the Gold Academy for the 2017-2018 school year was 643 students.

The Gold Academy offers core subjects of reading, language arts, math, science, and social studies. The teachers in grades one through four operate in self-contained classrooms, while grades five and six use a transitional community approach, having each student see multiple teachers per day.
