New Assistant Principal at Decatur Township School for Excellence

The MSD of Decatur Township welcomes Kyle Swafford as Assistant Principal at Decatur Township School for Excellence. 

(July 25, 2023) – INDIANAPOLIS – We are Decatur Proud to announce that Mr. Kyle Swafford was School Board approved as the new Assistant Principal at Decatur Township School for Excellence at the July 11th, 2023 meeting. Mr. Swafford brings experience as a teacher, coach, and administrator at Monrovia High School, Southridge High School, and South Putnam High School. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and a Master’s Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University in School Administration. Mr. Swafford shared, “I’m really excited about working in Decatur Township for the fact I truly feel there is tremendous leadership that starts at the top and is focused on benefiting all those involved in our school community. This is an opportunity to work alongside some phenomenal educators and administrators, and I'm very thankful to be part of the Decatur family/community!” Mr. Swafford grew up in Ellettsville, Indiana and is the proud parent of two sons, Chase and Blake. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf, fishing, watching and attending sporting events, and spending time with family and friends.
