DCHS Teacher Update, Thanksgiving Break, and Football State Championship Details

MSD Decatur Seal

Thank you for your continued thoughts and prayers for DCHS Teacher, Mr. Cross. He continues to recover in the hospital. Many of you have asked how we can further support.  Mr. Cross's family requests food pantry donations in lieu of monetary funds, and would also welcome cards (please drop off at Decatur Central High School). They are also asking for community support in advocating for a school zone on Kentucky Avenue.

Schools will be closed for Thanksgiving Break beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, November 27th and extending through Friday, November 29th. We wish all students, families, and staff a Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Break

Football State Championship:

Good luck to the DC Hawks Football Team as they take on the Warsaw Tigers in the IHSAA 5A State Championship on Saturday, November 30th, at Lucas Oil Stadium! Wear your navy blue to support the Hawks for a spirit theme of "blue out."

Kickoff: 7:07 pm
The game will start no earlier than 7:07 pm, but may start later due to the other two games being played first.

Ticketmaster digital tickets: https://www.ticketmaster.com/event/05006168D43E3369
A per ticket fee of $3.70 and a per order fee of $5.80 will be charged by Ticketmaster.

Tickets can also be purchased at Lucas Oil with no fees at the Southeast Ticket Office, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9:00 am-5:00 pm or day of game (up to kickoff time).

The Hawks will be the visiting team, using the west bench. We encourage our fans to sit on the west side of the stadium.

The Team send-off will be Saturday from 3:00-5:00 pm at DCHS. We are asking everyone to please park in the parking lot by the "rock" or the soccer field lot. We will need everyone lined up by 4:30 pm. The team is expected to leave the facility by 4:45 pm. The line-up will start at the "rock" going towards High School Road. Mr. & Mrs. Tate will be there to facilitate the line-up and answer any questions. We would love to see as many Hawk fans as possible at the send-off!
