DHAA MAKERSPACE
Our "MakerSpace" area is utilized in a variety of ways throughout the day. Check out the drop down below to learn more about what our students get to do:
Students use it during specials classes as a "MakerSpace/Art" area. During this time students attempt to create various forms of art using different technology and mediums. These creations can be in the form of "design challenges" (where they are tasked to create something for a specific purpose) or for learning art techniques (where students have an art assignment they can use different technology, tools, or mediums to curate).
Makerspace technology and tools are used to create unique projects that solve real world problems. Students design future cities, invent creations to meet needs, and generally solve problems in their local community. This can include capturing drone footage to commemorate graduating seniors or developing enrichment toys for animals at the Indianapolis Zoo!
