Civil Rights for Child Nutrition Programs

The main expectation in civil rights is treating everyone with dignity and respect and not discriminating based on race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or reprisal or retaliation for prior civil rights activity in any program or activity conducted or funded by USDA.

For more information, review the Indiana Department of Education Civil Rights Brochure.

Farm to School

Child Nutrition works to incorporate fresh and local foods into school breakfasts and lunches. We are proud to offer many products that are grown and/or crafted here in Indiana, and within the region. Some examples include milk, bread, seasonal fruits, and vegetables. USDA offers resources to schools and parents to help begin and maintain strong Farm to School Programs. Check out some of their fact sheets below!
