Class of 2020 Graduation
Dear Decatur Township Families,
As we work through the final two weeks of eLearning, I want to share that we will be moving forward with a live Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2020. The following are key points to share:
Location: Devere Fair Stadium (a.k.a. - the Football Stadium) It will be outside.
Time: Graduation for both DCHS & DTSE will be Thursday, June 11th. The make up date if we have poor weather on 6/11 will be Friday, June 12th. Specific times will be forthcoming. It will be in the evening.
Details: Safety protocols will be in place due to the pandemic. Ceremony information will be shared within the week by the respective principals.
Mr. DeFreese, Principal of DCHS, will push out this information for all DCHS students.
Mr. Weimer, Interim Principal of DTSE, will do the same for all DTSE students.
This week is also Teacher Appreciation Week. Please take the time to recognize your child’s teacher. The Decatur Township Education Foundation is conducting their own “Teacher Tribute” program. Please visit the link: https://tinyurl.com/DTEFTeacherTribute. We are grateful and truly appreciate the hard work and dedication our teachers have committed, but more especially, during these challenging times.
Thank you for being a part of our great school community! As a reminder, online registration for the 2020-2021 school year is also available on our district web page.
As always, Together, We are Decatur Proud!!
Sincerely,
Dr. Prusiecki
Superintendent
