With Safe Halloween being right around the corner - October 30 - Decatur Central Student Council is sponsoring a candy collection competition. In order to provide Decatur Township families a fun, safe, and yummy trick-or-treating experience, Decatur Central Student Council hosts the annual Safe Halloween night. One important item that helps make the night successful is candy! The Decatur Central Student Council, under the guidance of Mrs. Tate, organizes a candy competition with the College and Career Readiness (CCR) classes. The CCR class that donates the most candy will win a Long's Doughnut party. The competition is well underway but candy donations are down - it is time to kick it up a notch! The contest runs until Friday, October 12, so there is still plenty of time to bring candy to your CCR teacher. The candy helps make Safe Halloween a fun and tasty event for our kids. What a great way to support positive activities in our Township!
Student Council is still looking for volunteers for Safe Halloween. Decatur Central students who would like to volunteer need to see Mrs. Tate in 300E as soon as possible. This is a great way to get some service learning hours!
Remember: Bring in bags of candy to your CCR teacher! The CCR class with the most donated candy gets the Longs Doughnut party!!
