Please help us congratulate our Decatur Central color guard on their incredibly successful overall season. This past weekend the team traveled to Dayton Ohio to represent Decatur Central and the state of Indiana at the winter guard international world championships. The 16 performers had three breathtaking performances and made school history by not only qualifying in finals for the first time ever but finishing with a bronze medal in their class of 144 other talented competing units. We are extremely proud of them and their hard work and accomplishments this season that include IHSCGA state runner-up, WGI Indianapolis regional top 5 finalist, 2nd place WGI Mid-East power regional finalist, and our WGI bronze medal.
Congratulations ladies, you earned it! If you would like to be a part of this award winning, history making program, please join us on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the high school band-room from 4-6:30pm for our fall call outs. No experience is necessary, all positive attitudes are welcome! For more information follow us @decaturcentralcolorguard on Instagram.
