Decatur Central Musicians Shine On in Competition!

Congratulations to the members of the Varsity Winter Guard who earned 2nd of 21st in their class this past weekend at the Hamilton Southeastern HS contest….their score was 3rd best of all 61 groups at the contest.

 

Additionally, several instrumentalists earned a GOLD RATING at the STATE Solo and Ensemble contest –

Kenny Owen and Marta Molina were soloists and along with a Brass Quintet – Saxophone Choir – Saxophone Quartet – and 4 Percussion Ensembles…(2 of which earned a Gold “With Distinction”)

 

In all 34 students were at State Solo and Ensemble!  We are Decatur Proud of these talented students!
