DCHS Band Director, Tim Cox, Featured in School Band and Orchestra Magazine

Each year for the past two decades, School Bands and Orchestra Magazine highlights 50 directors, one from each state, who make a possitive difference.  This year, over 800 nominations were submitted, and we are DecaturProud to announce that our very own Tim Cox was selected as the Indiana director.  Honored directors were nominated by students, former and current colleagues, band parents, administrators, friends, and former band directors.  With the selections made, School Bands and Orchestra Magazine asked each chosen director to share their proudest teahing moments, how they hope to make a difference in the students' lives, and the most important lessons they try to teach their students.  Mr. Cox's responses are shared below.  Decatur Central High School and the entire township are thrilled for Mr. Cox, and are blessed to have such a talented and dedicated educator to lead our band program.
