DCHS Recognized by Indianapolis Urban League

We are proud to announce that the Indianapolis Urban League has recognized Decatur Central High School as a 2017 School of Excellence.  The Indianapolis Urban League is passionately committed to educational excellence and innovation, and highlights the following accomplishments demonstrated by Decatur Central High School:

 

  • Graduation rates in excess of 90% for the past 3 years
  • Earning a “B” school grade for the past 2 years after never earning above a “C” grade
  • Exposing all students to a College and Career Readiness Curriculum

 

On November 29, the Indianapolis Urban League publically honored Decatur Central High School as well as Principal Scott DeFreese during a luncheon at their facility in downtown Indianapolis.  The  booked event featured renowned journalist, Roland S. Martin, as a guest speaker. 

 

Decatur Central High School is committed to excellence for all students and demonstrates daily a dedication to our families.  We are Decatur Proud of our students, faculty, staff, and community.
