DC Marching Band Advances to the STATE FINALS

Band Semi Final

Decatur Central Marching Band competed in the SEMI-STATE competition over fall break.  We are proud to report the our very own Decatur Central Marching Band advanced to the Indiana State School Music Association STATE FINALS! The staff and students are very excited and would like to invite you to attend this special performance / competition. This is the first time the DC Marching Hawks have participated in the STATE final competition since 2007.
  • To be a part of this wonderful event, here is the info you need:
  1. STATE Finals Date: Saturday October 29th, 2016
  2. Location: Lucas Oil Stadium
  3. Time: 10:52am  CLASS B will start at 10:00am and there are 10 bands in our class.
  4. Awards are “Olympic Style” and will last from 12:10-1:00pm (if you want to stay)
  5. Tickets: All Adult Tickets are $20.00 - and can be purchased from Mr. Cox (tcox@msddecatur.k12.in.us) 
  6.  All seats are General Admission. Thus, it is highly suggested you arrive at least 30-45 minutes before the performance.
  7. Parking: There are many “pay to park” areas around the stadium – but they fill up quickly.

**If you would like a ticket please email Mr. Tim Cox ( tcox@msddecatur.k12.in.us )by 12:00 noon on THURSDAY -  Mr. Cox will deliver them to Central office on Friday by end of the day. **

Note: Watching a Marching Band is best if you sit higher in the stands and nearest to the 50 yardline. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT OF THESE GREAT KIDS!!!
