DMS Global and DCHS Choice Participate in Million Meal Movement

The DCHS Choice Academy freshmen and the DMS Global 8^th graders participated in a joint service project on Tuesday, November 1, 2016.  They travelled to Lucas Oil Stadium shortly after the start of school in the morning, and they participated all day in the Million Meal Movement, formerly called the Million Meal Marathon.  Most students worked in teams of 8-12 persons, measuring ingredients for meals and sealing them in plastic bags and packing those bags in boxes.  Other students provided refill service, delivering ingredients to teams when they ran low.  Still other students worked to palletize the boxes for shipment.  Collectively, the DMS Global 8^th graders and the DCHS Choice Academy freshmen packed 45,360 meals.
