West Newton’s Spring Concert, “It’s a Musical World”, debuted on March 19th, featuring the first and second graders of West Newton Elementary. The program was designed to bring the world together through music, and highlighted the music of nine different countries, including the United States. Music is the one language that doesn’t need translation.
During the concert, Mrs. Stebbe, West Newton Music Teacher, played her original composition on the piano, which was the culmination of Lilly Grant that allowed her to retrace the steps of Mozart through Europe. On her travels this past summer, she gained inspiration to compose an original piece of music.
