Ray and Vandeventer Appointed to MSD of Decatur Township School Board

The MSD of Decatur Township School Board proudly announces the appointment of both Jimmy Ray and Estella Vandeventer to the governing board. The appointments will be effective immediately after taking the oath of office, Tuesday, September 5, 2017. 

Mr. Ray has lived in Decatur Township his entire life. He is a graduate of Decatur Central High School. He has organized and supervised the youth football league for over 20 years. Mr. Ray is married with three sons. Two of his sons are Decatur Central High School graduates, and the third is currently a senior at Decatur Central.

Mrs. Vandeventer has been a part of the Decatur Township community since 1984. She is a graduate of Decatur Central High School. She currently has two children attending MSD of Decatur Township Schools (Valley Mills Elementary and Decatur Central High School), and serves as the Vice Chairperson for the Decatur Township Educational Foundation. She is married, and currently works for American Senior Communities.

The MSD of Decatur School Board would like to thank all of the applicants for the open school board seats. Their willingness to serve the students of our community is appreciated.

The MSD of Decatur Township School Board is comprised of five members. The School Board holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The next School Board meeting will be on Tuesday, September 12th.
