Finding your H drive documents on your Macbook

When your Mac finishes starting up, the Finder is the first thing that you will see. It opens automatically and stays open as you use other apps. It includes the Finder menu bar at the top of your screen.

In the Finder Menu bar, click on the word, “Go”.

Scroll down to “Connect to Server” and click on it.

In the “Server Address” field, type: smb://fs01/home/staff/yourusername. For example, smb://fs01/home/staff/tsmith.

Next, enter your username and password and then click “Connect”.

You should now have access to your H drive documents.
**Your MacBook may come with an Icon in the dock at the bottom of your screen for your H drive. If you click on this icon, it will require your username and password and then you will have access to your H drive.
To add your H drive folder to your dock for easy access

Go back to your Finder menu bar and click on the word, “Go”.

Scroll down to “Computer”.

You should see your H drive listed For example, “tsmith”.

You can click and hold/drag this icon down into your dock.
