EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
Kathy Flores
Kathy Flores is our administrative assistant for curriculum and instruction and she has been with Decatur Township schools for more than 14 years. She strives to do whatever it takes to support the students, families and staff of the district while collaborating with the administration to provide new and ever-changing educational opportunities to prepare Decatur Township students for their future.
As her personal philosophy, Flores believes anything worth doing is worth doing well – and finds it important to know that she has given everything she has to give each and every day. Her passion and relentless drive to help our students is obvious to everyone who works with her and colleagues admire her ability to consistently go above and beyond for the Decatur Township staff.
Flores is proud to work for the Decatur Township school district and appreciates the countless opportunities the student body has, including her own children, to experience a well-rounded education. She feels that Decatur Township has invested a great deal of time and energy in order to be on the cutting edge of educational programming, and believes the programming benefits students tremendously because it exposes them to real-world experiences.
Looking ahead, Flores hopes to continue to seek out new and better ways to make daily operations run as smoothly as possible so that everyone’s time and energy can be solely directed towards the school district’s most important task of providing a world-class education for the students.
