Liberty Preschool Enrollment 2025
Open Registration for the 2025-2026 school year begins March 31st!
Our full-day preschool program is open from 8:00am-4:30pm, on school days, following the Decatur Township Schools’ calendar.
(AYS provides before and after care for an additional fee.)
- Full-day preschool is $27.50 per day, paid in monthly installments of $495
- There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee to hold your spot in a class.
- 3-year old class: Students must be 3 years old by August 1st
- 4-year old classes: Students must be 4 years old by August 1st
- (Students must be completely potty trained to attend full-day preschool.)
Spaces are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis to families who do all of the following on or after March 31st:
- Call 317-486-4203 and provide your child’s name and date of birth, your name and the best phone number to reach you. Once you’ve done that,
- Register your child on www.decaturproud.org.
- Pay your $50 registration fee and fill out enrollment forms at the school.
- Receive confirmation that your child has been fully registered for preschool!

The MSD of Decatur Township Promotes Melissa Harvey to Principal at Decatur Middle School
(March 11, 2025) – INDIANAPOLIS – The MSD of Decatur Township is pleased to announce that Mrs. Melissa Harvey has been approved by the School Board of Education as the Principal of Decatur Middle School. Mrs. Harvey has been serving in the interim principal role since January 6th of this year.
“Mrs. Harvey is Decatur Proud and so dedicated to Decatur Middle School. She has provided outstanding leadership over the years and during this second semester, it became very evident that she brings the dedication, vision, and commitment to lead DMS in the coming years. We are very excited to name her as the permanent principal at our middle school,” said Dr. Scott Collins, Superintendent.
Over the past 28 years, Mrs. Harvey has gained extensive experience and has contributed to Decatur Middle School in numerous capacities including her roles as Teacher, Athletic Director, and SLC Director. She holds a Bachelor's degree from Goshen College and a Master’s degree in Education and Urban Leadership from Indiana University. Mrs. Harvey stated, “I'm excited to lead an amazing staff that thrives in knowing the adolescent. Middle school is a calling and we embrace every opportunity we have to love, teach and love some more. We will continue to grow together with our families in creating a positive and safe environment for learning."
Personally, Mrs. Harvey and her husband enjoy the outdoors, boating, and most importantly, spending time with family including four children, four grandchildren, and three dogs.
